Wildflower bouquet
This is a design I created, in the Summer, by merging some sketches I did of various beautiful wild flowers brought to me, by a friend, from the lanes around south Cumbria.
Herb Robert
I think the Herb Robert is one of the most underrated little wild flowers, with glowing pink flowers and fern shaped leaves. The original came from RSPB Leighton Moss, near Carnforth. Although they grow in many places - some where they are not wanted -I love them, even in my little garden.
Rose Blossom
This is a new rose design. My last one was based around a collage I produced, but this one was from a photograph I took of a rose growing at Levens Hall gardens, near Kendal.
The rose was always one of my Dad's favourite flowers and, consequently, one of mine too.

This is one of the layers I used in the Wildflower Bouquet design. I used water soluble Inktense pencils on watercolour paper, and a small paintbrush to smooth and adapt the drawing. These are materials I really enjoy working with. and I love capturing the details of flowers and plants in this way.

I use a variety of techniques to create my designs - Photography, Watercolour, Collage, drawing - then I blend, layer and adapt them using a well-honed range of creative computing skills to produce these vibrant, unique images
Watercolour
Watercolour paintings form the background of a variety of my images.
Photograpy
My photographs are the starting point for many of my designs. Images from nature frequently catch my eye.
Collage
I like layering tissue paper collage. In creative computing they become something else entirely.
Layer & Blend
Blending images takes time and care. Finding the right pictures that work together takes time and skill.
